👏🎉 Cheering Is Encouraged – and Highly Appreciated!

Cheering is an essential part of the trail running experience. A few encouraging words along the course can give a runner exactly the extra boost they need during a long race. A smile, applause, a shout of encouragement, or even a handmade sign can make a huge difference and brighten a runner’s day.

Spectators are warmly welcome to follow the event and help create an amazing atmosphere. Please remember to cheer safely: give runners plenty of room to pass, stay in safe viewing areas, and follow the instructions of the event organizers.

Thank you for helping make this event an unforgettable experience for everyone! 💚

Great Spots to Cheer On the Runners:

🚡Pyhä Scenic Chairlift🚡

The Pyhä Scenic Chairlift makes it easy to reach the top of the fell – no running shoes needed. The best spot to cheer on the runners is the breathtaking final stretch at the summit, crowned with stunning views. You’ll also find Restaurant Tsokka and the Pyhä Dreams Wine Bar there.

The scenic lift is open during the event from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Tickets can be purchased from the ticket machine at the base station (card payments only). Cash tickets are available at the Hotel Pyhätunturi reception and Pyhä Store during their opening hours. Read more here!

🌄Kultakero Summit

You can reach Kultakero summit by taking the scenic lift (Pyhä Express), which offers stunning views in all directions. Runners will make their final grueling climb to the summit of Kultakero, so your encouragement will be much needed there. Timetables and tickets can be found here.

⛺Karhunjuomalampi

Runners pass by Karhunjuomalampi twice, making it an excellent spot for cheering. Along the way, you can also visit Finland’s deepest fell gorge (Isokuru), Pyhänkaste Waterfall, and Uhriharju, which are among the most popular attractions in Pyhä National Park.

⛺Huttuloma

Marathon runners pass Huttuloma twice, and half-marathon runners turn back towards the finish line at Huttuloma. You can reach Huttuloma by driving along Huttujärventie (turning from Luostontie) to the edge of the national park, from where the journey continues on foot, running, or by bike for about a kilometer to the Huttuloma wilderness hut.

Please note that the road to Huttuloma is very narrow and in poor condition. If you wish to go there to cheer, we strongly recommend using a bicycle. Parking along the roadside is strictly prohibited! The emergency access road must remain clear at all times.
